Who we are

Heritage craftsmanship,
contemporary design.

What MARA is

A Brazilian artisanal luxury brand, handcrafted by a circle of female artisans across Brazil. Every piece carries a name, a region, a pair of hands — behind each one, a single question guided us: how do you carry the warmth of an entire country with you, every day?

Heloiza and Rayssa, founders of MARA
The founders

Two best friends,
one piece of Brazil.

What started as longing became a purpose. Heloiza and Rayssa turned to the women who raised them — and their own mothers became MARA's first artisans, weaving the very first pieces by hand.

Today that beginning has grown into a circle of women across Brazil, each adding her own hands, her own region, her own story to every piece we make.

In their words

"We didn't want to design from Brazil. We wanted to carry Brazil — its hands, its colours, its soul — out into the world."

Over 25 artisans,
across Brazil.

The circle expanded to reach over 25 artisans across Brazilian communities — from São Paulo and Vitória to Ceará and Maranhão, each preserving heritage techniques passed down through generations: crochet, macramé, hand weaving and beadwork.

Carefully chosen materials are transformed, by hand, into pieces made to be kept — an everyday object elevated into something quietly extraordinary,

stitch by stitch.

What we stand for

Four things we hold to.

0 1
Artisan Craft

Every piece is woven entirely by hand, the work of days, never machines.

0 2
Timeless Design

Shapes made to be kept and carried long after the season has passed.

0 3
Brazilian Authenticity

Native fibers, regional craft and colour drawn straight from the landscape.

0 4
Female Empowerment

Fair, sustained work for a growing circle of women and their families.

The manifesto

A walk along the shoreline, caipis with friends, your everyday life — or even yourself. Anything can be mara.
